Xi praises rural Party members for donating tea saplings to poor areas
Xi said socialism with Chinese characteristics is entering a new era. He said private businesses' workers should study and fulfill the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
Xi arrived in Vladivostok Tuesday for the forum at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, made an important speech at the session. He also delivered a work report of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee to the session.
Xi also urged the military to take into consideration and optimize response plans for various complex scenarios. It should also strengthen training for actual combat and improve command mechanisms to ensure efficient communication, thus increasing the PLA's ability to win in modern warfare, he added.
Xi openly talked about past problems of corruption and abuse of power, saying, "We must have the determination to get rid of all outdated thinking and ideas and all institutional ailments, and to break through the blockades of vested interests." Thereby challenging conservative thinking and entrenched processes not consistent with the current new era we live in.

Xi made the remark while meeting with Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing.
Xi will also attend the 17th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the opening ceremony of the World Expo in Astana, Lu said.
